I successfully replaced legacy WCF services with dynamic Web APIs, incorporating a secure JWT authentication system for enhanced user identity verification. I apply functional programming principles with jQuery, creating custom styles using SASS, Bootstrap, and DevExtreme components for a polished and user-friendly frontend experience. My phased replacement approach seamlessly integrates new components while ensuring optimal system performance. Migrating MSSQL database to Postgres, employing meticulous UML-based design for structured and efficient data management. Utilising Unit tests to ensure the integrity of the database.

In my role, I engaged in close collaboration with clients, actively seeking to understand their objectives and requirements. Through detailed discussions and analysis, I planned and integrated website features with a focus on delivering optimal user experiences. This collaborative process involved working closely with Graphic Designers to strategically align design elements and functionality, ensuring seamless interactions and intuitive navigation for end-users.
Utilising my expertise in both frontend and backend development, I executed the development of front-end interfaces based on the Graphic Designers wireframes. Leveraging Umbraco backend systems, I seamlessly integrated these interfaces, ensuring smooth functionality and efficient data management. Moreover, I played a pivotal role in crafting compelling content, including multimedia elements and E-learning resources using Articulate. This content not only enriched the user experience but also effectively communicated the client's message and brand identity.

Initially, my role revolved around producing AutoCAD drawings for estates, with a specific focus on asbestos and utility management surveys. However, I was able to utilise my Web Design skills to produce a responsive front end to the software. I then started studying for my degree in Web Development while continuing to work for Quantarc.
Consequently, I began conducting web accessibility audits using JAWS software, translating findings into actionable improvements to ensure WCAG compliance through the implementation of WAI-ARIA. I also ventured into designing prototypes featuring offline storage capabilities, which enabled surveyors to seamlessly utilize software in large estates with intermittent internet connectivity. Alongside this, my proficiency in database development using Oracle and SQL grew, contributing significantly to efficient data management.
Furthermore, I played a pivotal role in implementing responsive front-end solutions and actively participated in the MVC rewrite of a Web Forms project. Collaborating closely with Senior Developers, I integrated React components, thereby facilitating the direct incorporation of AutoCAD functionality into the application. This journey highlighted my adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to embracing new challenges.

As a collaborative member of a close-knit team, I worked closely with a senior timber frame designer, fostering effective communication and teamwork throughout projects. My responsibilities included seamless coordination with in-house Quantity Surveyors, Engineers, and external stakeholders such as building contractors, architects, and clients. I actively participated in on-site timber frame construction, conducting meticulous measurements of foundations for designs and implementing snag sheets to uphold the quality and accuracy of construction processes. Demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail, I effectively managed documentation, contributing to the overall success of projects.

Moreover, my role extended beyond digital interfaces as I infused creativity into branding elements, such as designing company t-shirts that not only reflected brand aesthetics but also resonated with employee preferences. Additionally, I took pride in producing professional and distinctive company business cards, designed to embody the organisation's identity and maintain a cohesive visual brand presence. Leveraging my expertise, I successfully implemented designed wireframes into websites, contributing to elevated user experiences and overall aesthetic appeal. This experience not only broadened my cultural horizons but also honed my design skills, enabling me to deliver impactful solutions regardless of geographical boundaries.
I was hired as a graphic designer and web designer working for Edeng.
Edeng INC. is a classifieds website similar to 'gumtree' or 'craigslist', covering mainland China. I was based in the main office in Beijing China.
In this position I created Business cards for all members of staff, small ads for the different categories of the website, company branded t-shirts, web templates and css sprites to improve the load time of the site.
I was taken on as a 'Technical Designer and Web Developer' for Arch Angelz, to help deal with the development of a rapidly growing SME.
Arch Angelz are beauticians with concession stands in Debenhams across the UK. I was based in the head office in Swansea.
With this project I produced a variety of promotional material. wall and floor vinyls, posters and flyers menus and price lists and full web concept. Arch Angelz already had an established brand but I was tasked with taking them away from the use of black but keeping it within the brand.
I worked with Bobby Cole from Catch22Media to produce Bobby's personal website along with a e-commerce story to sell some of his music.
Catch22Media are a Swansea based company who produce a variety of stock media.
With this project I produced Bobby Coles personal website www.bobbycole.co.uk this website is the personal portfolio of bobby cole detailing his compositions. I also developed an e-commerce store for bobby www.royaltyfreehorrormusic.com this website supplies a selection of horror sound effects and songs.
